These are three fine art high-quality giclées numbered and hand signed by Emma Wildfang, the creator of the original drawings. It’s the edition 3/5 printed on 300g acid-free paper.

The series “Comic Icons as Still Life” is a combination of two seemingly incompatible genres: comics and still life. The artist behind the series presents a selection of cartoon characters and icons that at first glance look like classic still lifes.
This means the characters are portrayed in a calm and static manner reminiscent of classic paintings. The coloring is mostly muted and reminiscent of the warm tones of old oil paints. The staging of the figures in this traditional setting creates an atmosphere that entices the viewer to linger longer and take a leisurely look at the details.
The artist breaks the boundaries of the two genres and creates an unexpected yet harmonious combination.
Emma Wildfang is a young Pop-Art street artist. Her artworks are scattered in collections all over the world. She manages to create a very special vintage style. After attending the master class, the artist has been self-taught since 2002. Her constant search for new techniques and means of expression made it almost imperative for her to now also deal with spatial structures as a sculptor. Due to the restlessness and instability of her creative process she lives up to the name Wildfang. However, in all of her works, Wildfang does not seek the perfect, symmetrically idealized work, but finds instead finds beauty in the fragmented, in the detail, and in the enigmatic. Her way of working is to find perfection in the imperfect.
