This is a series of artworks themed around comic icons, aesthetically inspired by the famous artist Piet Mondriaan. The artist manages to put the cartoon characters in a new context and embed them in Mondriaan’s distinctive, colorful style.
The artist uses the geometric shapes of Mondriaan to build the cartoon characters. In part, the figures themselves consist of the colorful, geometric shapes, resulting in a seamless integration of the two art styles.
The background of the pictures is also designed with the typical colored elements of Mondriaan. This not only enhances the aesthetics of the images, but also gives an indication of the artistic inspiration.
Overall, this series of images is a fusion of two distinct art styles that complement each other seamlessly.
